the tilt.

This is my favorite new move.  The Henry head tilt.  He knows it's cute and melts our heart so he performs.  Like an experienced stage actor he smirks and tilts.  We awweeaaaaa at his magic.
You're a little ball of sunshine, brightening my world more than imaginable.  Like the morning light you creep in through the window of my heart.  Reflecting the dust and making it a new, like snow cascading across the sky.  Yes my sunshine you chase the shadows and shine on even the darkest crevices.

Foto Reel-42

Crawling is apparently the window to curiosity.   Quicker every day he is pointing out all of the crooks and crevices that have intrigued him over the past few months.

We spent some time on our day off at a local book store, Joseph Beth.  Henry enjoyed looking out the window at the pond and watching the ducks previously only known in pages come to life as they swam across the cold icy water.
With a little treat of some Auntie Sarah time he was all smiles.

Our playgroup got together for some good baby moving times.
We had fun celebrating Lizzie's birthday and seeing friends.

We celebrated moments like this.
Snowflakes came to visit a window near us and he watched in awe from the comfort of our warm little living room.

We can't get enough of nakey baby at bath time....probably never will so get use to these pics.  K?
A little bug came creeping through our door and hit the little one with a fever that just didn't want to go away for a few days.  So as much as I hate him feeling bad I soaked up the cuddles like a sponge.
 hello monkey butt.

Splish Splash

Hello squeaky clean baby,  You delight me to no end.  Washing in between your toes and your belly button.   Splish, splash, we smile, we laugh.  Oh the joys of a baby bath!

Baby Play- fails and wins of late

Let's start with our fails.  I've been looking up good sensory activities to play with a 9 month old.  Last week we played with a little cooked spaghetti.  This week we tried:
Activity #1 rice in a big clear container.  We buried a few toys in it and dug in for some excavating.  It lasted 2 minutes before the struggle of trying to keep tiny rice pellets out if his mouth became a battle.
Enter activity #2  Same concept as the rice but with pasta.  Letting baby feel, pick up, dump as you describe what's happening verbally.  Apparently hard rigatoni is also a delightful treat worth crying over when mommy repeatedly digs it out of your mouth.  On the fun side it did provide a fun surprise when we discovered noodles in his pocket the following day.  Who doesn't need a little pasta pocket with their outfit?
Both activities I got from my Babycenter App.

This activity arrived on my door step.  Free of charge.  I love getting packages and apparently Henry does too.  We have played with a box once before, so when this bad boy was opened he crawled over to it immediately to explore.

Turns out this was the perfect size to sit in. Throw a few stuffed toys and cheerios in the mix and you've never had more fun in your life.

When baby tries to eat the box you can distract with
a. more cheerios
b. turn the box into a car and push it all over the house.

What else is fun about playing with a box you ask?  Waking up in the morning to find a box with a squeaky clam and two cheerios inside.  Evidence of fun?  I think so!

We like grabbing items from the kitchen to have a bit of fun too.  Usually to hide balls and cups in but did you know they are also good helmets?
Yes we are now thoroughly protected from any falling debris life may throw our way.  :)  Armed with happiness.

Foto Reel - 41

Week 41 brought more joy than before.

We enjoyed some fun time with the Randolph's and experienced a milestone.  Henry decided to go for his first big crawl while playing with Woods and his toy kingdom!  He likes hanging with the big boy.
With all those new found crawling skills he tried each day to perfect them moving further and faster than before.
He enjoyed a little Great Pepaw and Pop love.  He showed off his new crawling and pulling up skills while we watched the Wildcats play ball.
Daddy can do amazing things like make things fly.
He is such a playful little fella and is quite the ham.  He has learned that tilting his head to the side will get some cute looks from mom and dad.
He took a warm winter walk with his buddy Lock.
He had his 9 month Dr. visit which was the first to not involve shots.  :)  Lots of laughs and giggles here.
We had some evening cuddle time for no reason at all.  Which this lil' momma soaked up like a sponge.
We found a fine new use for our mixing bowls.
And tried on a hat resembling Oscar the Grouch.  :)
This week he also brought out his dancing shoes.  Just about anytime he hears a tune or a tapping beat you better believe this boy is bouncing in his seat!  Such a bundle of fun!
This guy is awesome.
