The most wonderfuly day of the year.

Christmas Day.
A reminder that our savior was born just for us; the greatest gift any man could ever receive.
We always have such fun giving gifts to each other as a reminder........but this year it was so much more special.  Watching Henry get excited as he walked out to see his toys, rip open packages and play with his new little treasures was a pure delight.

We learned that all the fun that comes with Christmas can quickly wear a little boy out.  He took an early nap and we got ready to head over to the Cooper's for a great day of celebrating and enjoying family.  It is amazing how much more crazy lively a little one can make the party seem.

Apparently we have a thing with hats over here...  :)

We certainly feel blessed to have so much love, health, and blessings surrounding us this holiday season.

Oh Christmas Eve, Oh Christmas Eve.

That moment on Christmas Eve where I am surrounded by my big loving family, where the chaotic buzz of conversations, laughter, and playful children squeals; that moment is my peak.  It's the kind of night that I always wish I could put on slow motion.

Your typical Chrismtas picture.  Complete with a saw.

After opening up his present from his cousins Anna and Ella he had a grand little time showing off his bow tie wearing skills.
He enjoyed playing with his cousins, and especially having boy time with Noah.

My Granny wears sparkles.  Does yours?

A night filled with this much fun means big crashes for a little boy.  While Santa gets to work.

How Christmas Began for us.

The days leading up to Christmas we...........

 Celebrated truck stop Christmas style.
Put on our Sunday best and enjoyed having little man in big church with us.  It was sweet and special to hold him and listen to the Good News.
We started up a new family tradition by making a gingerbread house together.
As we headed down to south to visit my parents we enjoyed the 7th annual bourbon tasting contest.
Mom and I made our annual cookie factory in the kitchen.  Spreading sugary goodness everywhere!
and exchanged a slew of gifts playing Santa is always fun!  Especially when kids are involved.
Found peppermint suckers in our stalkings.
Ate cookies in our Christmas pj's.
 and diapers.
and listened to stories read by Pop.

Spending time with family, participating in what is now a long strand of wonderful family traditions.
Watching Henry play with his Nanny, Pop, and cousins.  Watching him enjoy Christmas treats and hearing his sweet little voice talk about Jesus.  This holiday season got off to the best start ever.
