11 Months of Knowing Heaven on Earth - MLEC

The last month of truly counting your age in months instead of years is here.  It's been our best month yet, and I'm so excited for what'st to come; though I can't help but feel sentimental about you getting bigger.

When you're eleven months old you don't have time to lie on your back for pictures.  The world is moving so quickly around you it's only natural you put your foot on the gas too.

Our bright eyed girl is sooooo full of life, spunk and wonder!

She has certainly found her voice and is bound and determined to make sure everyone hears it.

We see this scrunchy, silly toothed smile and can't help but laugh.

Peek-a-boo, we see you too!

"Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"
 "BbbbbbbbbbbbbbBBbbbBB"

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times; Oh Girl!  You're gonna be a heart breaker!

We see this face quite often lately.  Maybe it's the teeth, or maybe it's just part of being a girl, either way you like to let us know who you think is boss.

Oh poor girl.  :)

Oh now you're happy again!?  Yep you're definitely a girl.

" Mmmmmmmmmm

oooommma"

I am Mallie Lynn, hear me roooooooaaaarrrrr!!!!!

Hello one...I see you coming !  11 months down!
and the best is yet to come.

Feeding:  A whole new ball game was played this month.  Over a 2 1/2 week period we transitioned into Neocate, an amino acid based formula.  It is now her only form of nutrition and she is doing much better on it.  We are so thankful for the answered prayers to move her to a safer and more controlled way of feeding.  It has been a month of ups and downs as her body and my emotions adjusted to everything.  We are looking forward to a new chapter and are hopeful we will be given the green light to start trialing foods within the next week.
Dinner time and eating in general around her has become a little tougher.  She wants our food.  Not getting what she wants makes her mad, but she's a good girl and tries to be content chewing on her ice cube in a net pouch or teething toy.

Sleep:  Once we transitioned to only formula we saw the backs of our eyelids a little more at night.  She still wakes once to feed and sometimes needs rocked/soothed back to the land of dreaming for a good 30-50 min but it doesn't involve crying and that we can handle!  She is back to a woombie although we did move up in size.  She continues to need that comfort of being snug to fall asleep.  She loves to sleep on her side and occasionally a brief moment on her belly.  If she rolls to her back she immediately kicks both legs up and down with such force we sometimes fear her crib will come through the ceiling.  She's a strong one; muscles and will.  She typically takes two naps now one in the morning and another in the afternoon, they vary in length but she always wakes a happier girl! :)

Awake: Mmm oooo vvvv iiii nnn ggggggg and never stop!  That's the rule she lives by.  Crawling, cruising, pulling up, baby squats, sometimes standing independently, clapping, shaking her head no, reaching, grabbing, toe eating, chewing, back bending, bouncing, screaming, babbling.  All of the above makes her happy.  She is all about working on her motor skills and loves to take things in and out of containers, knock things down and even attempt to stack again.

Loves: Henry, watching him, screaming at him, listening to him, getting hugged by him (unless it's a pirate hug), cold teething rings, clapping, listening to music, wiggling/dancing, walking and holding onto fingers, drinking water from a straw cup, laying her head on people she loves to cuddle them especially when we say "ahhhuhhahhhh".

Dislikes: diaper changes, not getting what she wants, having something taken from her reach, the car seat, getting tackled or squeezed by her brother, going to sleep.

Temperament: Happy, active, eager to laugh, sweet, calm, enthusiastic,

Clothing Size: 9 months (onesies 6 months)

Diapers: Size 2

New Milestones: Moving from squats to standing independently, one and a half new teeth that have taken WEEEEKKKKSSS to come through.  Front/top left has pushed it's way through and top right is making it's debut any day now.  Lots and lots of babbling, began saying "Mom mama " and "Nananananan Nanny" Lots of bbbbbbb and a few squeals of EEEEEE which we think may mean Henry?  She loves to chat in her car seat when she's not screaming about how uncomfy it is.  :)

11 months to short.  You are still a baby but moving towards that landmark of being ONE too fast for this momma's liking.  I'm going to find the largest sponge I can and soak up every single crazy, loud, wild moment of you being 0 years old.  We love you little miss, more than this teary eyed momma can say.

1st Day Smiles Pre-K3

Last week this big boy started a new chapter.
new backpack //  new "school" //  new teachers // new friends // new playground // new adventures

The once overly shy, very clingy, cautious boy was actually excited for his first day.
We are sending him two days a week for 3 hrs and it is hopefully just enough time away to make him miss his mommy and sister!  This year program resembles a little bit more of a school setting with more structure, specials, and backpacks.

Little sis was proud of him too.
This big boy made his momma and daddy awful proud.  Not a tear was shed, and I will  never forget his sweet little walk into the school as he turned around with his backpack to smile and wave bye-bye.  He was most excited for the chance to play dress up, specifically a policemen.  Even though that didn't happen as he had planned he had a great first day of school and I'm so excited for him to grow socially and be in an environment that also teaches a bible lesson every day.  He feels big, and small all at the same time.  This 3 1/2 year old prince is showing us what he's made of.  Only the best.

He ended the day in Miller family tradition with a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies; because no first day of school is complete without them.
