Last weekend we headed to Dale Hollow Lake for Barry's cousin Zack's wedding. It was a beautiful setting, a sweet ceremony and a great way to celebrate a fabulous couple.
Fall means pumpkins and Henry got to pick out his first.
What a great week, and the fall break only continues into this week. Making for a short work week and some good Mommy Henry time. Hooray!
It was a special time for us as well because it was the first time Henry was able to meet some of his family members including his Great Papaw Dunn and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Our little bear was all bundled up and a pure joy the entire trip. His first time in a hotel and he couldn't have done better!
On the way back we were close enough to make a impromptu visit at my parents where we ran into Katie, Lucas and the kiddos. It was a great little visit and gave us a chance to have Dad blow out some candles for his birthday that was on October 4th.
Mr. Personality had quite the week. He got sick again for the second time, waking in the middle of the night covered in "puka puke" as I call it. We went into the same routine from our experience only a few days before of cleaning up, comforting him threw it all and holding him most of the night till the coast was clear.
The following day he woke up feeling briefly better before we handed him to the doctor's for his 6 month checkup.....and shots. OUCH!
We discovered a great invention during this time, a paci that holds medicine! It was so much easier to give tylenol and keep that fever down with this little contraption.
He weighed in at 15.11lbs and 27 in. long, and was in the 189% for cuteness.
Over the period of two days being home with him during my fall break I witnessed a big boy moment. All of a sudden he is sitting with toys in front of him and going from one thing to the next. We have stepped up our level of playfulness around here. Grabbing one toy and setting it down to go to the next and then grunting and moving towards the other toys he wants. So, we went out and purchased some new fun stacking cups and towers for him to explore. Fall means pumpkins and Henry got to pick out his first.

Love the photos of him all bundled up! Too cute. I always wished my son would take a paci so we could administer medicine that way -- it's still such a struggle!
